Ubuntu desktop quirks
Here is a list of small problems with my current Gnome desktop:
- Save-as dialog is way too small and does not remember size and position
- Binding mouse buttons to XGL actions is near impossible
- No block editing feature in Gedit
- Defaults for Beryl are not adequate… most of the stuff gets in the way
- berylmanager is a mine-laden UI for screwing up your XGL configuration. Only a small fraction of options are useful.
So I noticed that I could get a decent mac machine for pretty cheap…
